And that's not all you can do here at Frog Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Frog Pond; Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 is a magnificent local trail, and why not camp at Symmes Creek Campground since you're here at Frog Pond. So many enjoyable things in the Southern Sierra Nevada, just tremendous. The peaks of the Sierra Nevada       dominate the scenery of this area; Kern River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Frog Pond, you could also stop at pretty Upper Boy Scout Lake, and there's great hiking along the Mount Whitney Trail. You're sure to run into some nice folks from Bishop here. Camping is available at Tuttle Creek Campground, and a cool spot to explore is Keeler Needle. This lake is so wonderful. Mirror Lake is a                  nearby lake that you could visit; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. From Frog Pond you get a magnificent view of Mount Carillon, and Arc Pass is another glorious place to visit nearby. And that's not all the things to do here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Bighorn Park is a delightful spot to stretch your legs a bit; a fine close by hotel is Best Western Frontier Motel. Frog Pond is a beautiful lake in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Frog Pond get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's.
