For the period of the warm days of summer at Frog Lakes highs are regularly in the 80's, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, ordinarily in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Frog Lakes dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. There is a great hiking trail near Frog Lakes called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12, and Yosemite Gateway Motel is a tremendous site to get some rest. Frog Lakes is located in

| | the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Black Mountain from Frog Lakes is pretty, and Frog Lakes is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Sawmill Campground is a splendid place to camp nearby. The Gaylor Lakes Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Frog Lakes, and after a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Moat Lake is close by, and Saddlebag Campground is a great campground nearby. Frog Lakes is regularly a reasonably waterless location; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month is October.
Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's whitewater on Tenaya Creek for all you adrenaline kick people; nearby you find the John Muir Trail - section 2 which is a perfect hiking trail. So
many enjoyable things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Cooney Lake.
