    Beautiful Frog Lake has much to offer visitors. High temperatures at Frog Lake during the summer months are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Frog Lake tend to be in the 20's. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a tremendous time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Frog Lake; Early Emigrant and Indian  
   Trail is a great local trail, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Silver King Trail. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back many times. Deadman Campground is a glorious campground here, and after a long day outdoors Pinecrest Chalet is a glorious location to spend a night or two.
There's great hiking along the Ten Lakes Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend
 
               Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Lakes? Sure, Buck Lake is in close proximity, and you can stay the night at Baker Campground.
Frog Lake is ordinarily a relatively waterless place; the month with most of the rain is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Dodge Ridge is one of those things you just must do, and Buck Lake Dam is a place that is near Frog Lake.
If you need a location to stay Evergreen Lodge Yosemite is a great choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Cherry Creek - West Fork offers some delightful whitewater.
