Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do near Frog Lake. Glide down the rapids of Carson River - East Fork in a kayak, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Red Lake. There are glorious places to look at along the Hawley Grade Trail; unsurprisingly, this is a glorious region for people who like lakes, Winnemucca Lake is a lake in close proximity. | | Nevada. The peak of Elephants Back can be seen from Frog Lake, and paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Blue Lake Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at The Mountain Club. Frog Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month is July. Good hiking is available along the Burnside Lake Trail, | |

and a day on the slopes of Kirkwood is just what you need. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. The skiing at Bear Valley is magnificent; folks from Gardnerville Ranchos love to come here. This lake is
so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay The Meadow is a splendid choice, and what would a site like Frog Lake be without out of the ordinary close by characteristics like Kit Carson. Near Frog Lake you stumble on pleasant spots like
Carson Pass, and don't leave Frog Lake without first going for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail. All through the warmest time of the year at Frog Lake highs are generally in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to
the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Frog Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great planet it would be. If you came for an overnight stay Woods Lake Campground is a perfect site to camp.
