Much rain falls at Friend Lake; most of the rain falls all through December; July is the month with the least moisture. This place, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Hiking along the Ruth Hayfork Trail is tremendous fun, and Friend Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Pickett Peak Campground is a good site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You'll locate a picturesque       lake called Lily Lake near Friend Lake; going for a hike along the Rough Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Having a tremendous time at Friend Lake is trouble-free. Near Friend Lake you discover Indian Valley which is a tremendous spot to go to, and Forest Glen Campground is a great campground nearby. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Hayfork Creek, and lakes are such calm sites,                  why not go to Maddox Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Friend Lake reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Friend Lake. Bear Wallow Creek is a brilliant local stream; there's whitewater on Trinity River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Coast Ranges.
