Friend Lake is a nice lake to visit. The Ben Arthur Trail is a good hiking trail close to Friend Lake; you could always look at Indian Valley. This site, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Friend Lake you can take a hike along the Rough Gulch Trail; since you're here, you could stop at Bear Wallow Creek.

| | whitewater spot right next door to Friend Lake, and if you came to camp Pickett Peak Campground is a great spot to do that. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Coast Ranges. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hayfork Creek. There's so much to do here at Friend Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Forest Glen Campground is a glorious location for that.

days of summer highs here at Friend Lake reach the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Friend Lake. If only
every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. If the weather is glorious here at Friend Lake, you can go for a hike along the Ruth Hayfork Trail; after a long day outdoors Dean Creek Resort is a tremendous
site to spend a night or two. Friend Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
