French Reservoir is usually a reasonably dried out spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the long summer days at French Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down       to the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's while French Reservoir nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. If the weather is tremendous here at French Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Owl Creek Trail, and French Reservoir is not the only location close by, Dannhauser Reservoir is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Pine Creek Trail; Likely Place Recreational                  Vehicle Park & Golf is a tremendous campground nearby. Super 8 Alturas is a nice site to get some rest, and a lake close by is Payne Reservoir. Just can't get enough of French Reservoir.
