This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Squaw Valley Lodge is a pleasant choice, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by L L Anderson Dam. French Meadows Reservoir is a quite wet place typically with a lot of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. All the outdoors exciting       things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back many times. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rubicon River, and Sugar Bowl has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Little Duncan Canyon is a fine place to look at, and delightful skiing awaits you at Soda Springs. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a good time. Visit Little Duncan Creek since you're here at French Meadows Reservoir, and there are                  perfect places to discover along the Sailor Flat Trail. French Meadows Reservoir is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. French Meadows Reservoir is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Dewey Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby; don't leave French Meadows Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Hunters Trail. Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a great place to get some rest; you can stay the night at McGuire Campground. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at French Meadows Reservoir. There are some fine whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork, and there's good hiking along the Parsley Bar Trail. The warmest time of the year at French Meadows Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's.
