French Meadows Reservoir is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Squaw Valley Lodge is a great location to spend a night or two, and perfect skiing awaits you at Sugar Bowl. Going for a hike along the Parsley Bar Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rubicon River. Why not visit L L Anderson Dam       while you're here, and why not camp at McGuire Campground while you're here at French Meadows Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Village at Squaw Valley, and camping is available at Dewey Campground. So much fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just mind-blowing. Take a hike on the Sailor Flat Trail, and if you get bored of French Meadows Reservoir you could also stop at nearby French Meadows Reservoir. Getting to Little                  Duncan Creek from French Meadows Reservoir is uncomplicated. During the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at French Meadows Reservoir; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at French Meadows Reservoir temperatures descend to the 30's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Skiing at Soda Springs is one of those things you just ought to do; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork. If only every location had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great world it would be. Hiking along the Hunters Trail is great fun, and if you yearn for a little side trip, try Little Duncan Canyon.
