Dry warm beds await you at Squaw Valley Lodge, and a magnificent site is Little Duncan Canyon. At French Meadows Reservoir during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for French Meadows Reservoir tend to be in the 30's. All the water falling down from the sky       makes French Meadows Reservoir a wet spot; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Whitewater paddling is great on Yuba River - South Fork, and French Meadows Reservoir is not the only location close by, Hell Hole Reservoir is a close by lake. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's                  even more amusing stuff to do here at French Meadows Reservoir. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Sailor Flat Trail, and why not camp at Dewey Campground while you're here at French Meadows Reservoir. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. This lake is so wonderful. McGuire Campground is a fine local campground, and there's some flowing water close by, Little Duncan Creek is a stream you can have a look at while you're here. Really nice skiing awaits you at Sugar Bowl, and L L Anderson Dam is a charming site. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you get bored of French Meadows Reservoir, you could also take a look at nearby French Meadows Reservoir, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Parsley Bar Trail. French Meadows Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Soda Springs, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rubicon River.
