French Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is ordinarily the driest month. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Humboldt House Inn, and if you came to camp Bailey Canyon Campground is a great location to do that. There's so much to do here at French Lake that you need to camp here       for a while, Fir Cove Campground is a nice location for that. Lakes? Sure, Bollman Lake is close at hand. Get drenched paddling on Van Duzen River, and don't leave French Lake without first going for a hike along the Ruth Hayfork Trail. All through the warm days of summer here at French Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures                  at French Lake fall into the 30's. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the Coast Ranges. Bear Lake is a magnificent lake in the neighborhood of French Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Eel River in a kayak, and there are great places to discover along the Ben Arthur Trail. If you love the outdoors, you'll go for French Lake.
