Everybody loves Neck Meadow, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Alpine Meadows. All year is a pleasant time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you adore the outdoors. Going for a hike on the McKinstry Trail is always a glorious adventure. Lakes? Sure, Berts Lake is in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Francis Lake that you need       to camp here for a while, Wentworth Springs Campground is a pleasant location for that, and if you need a location to stay Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a good choice. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Francis Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Francis Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Northern Sierra                  Nevada, too great to be true. Get dripping wet paddling on American River - South Fork, and you can hit the slopes at Homewood nearby. Francis Lake is a pretty wet place commonly with a good deal of precipitation; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here; July on the other hand is the driest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. At Francis Lake you can catch a sight of Chipmunk Bluff. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do close to Francis Lake. Near Francis Lake you find the Loon Lake Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and Francis Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Pleasant Boat-In Campground is a pleasant local campground. Paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork is so much fun; Bugle Lake is a good lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Mineral Springs will fill your spirit with glorious feelings, and dry warm beds await you at Squaw Valley Lodge.
