     At Lake Frances you don’t see much precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Frances has to offer, you can camp at Doc and Al's Robinson Creek Resort, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater  
   paddling on Tuolumne River. Yosemite Gateway Motel is a splendid place to get some rest, and Crater Crest is painless to spot from Lake Frances.
Lake Frances is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. You truly have to love the Central Sierra Nevada. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Turquoise Lake, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. Not far from Lake Frances, you'll
 
               come across Glenberry Lake which is a striking lake; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Ten Lakes Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Lake Frances is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Paho Campground is a nice place to camp nearby; West Walker River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. For the period of the summer months at Lake Frances highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake Frances. Man, is there a heap of fun stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. While you're here at Lake Frances you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12.
