Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. At Fourth of July Lake you can see Black Butte, and get your       pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Mokelumne River - North Fork. Fourth of July Lake frequently gets a good deal of rainfall; most of the snow falls throughout January; the driest of the months is July. After a long day outdoors Pine Cone Acre Motel is a great location to spend a night or two, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Hawley Grade Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This                  lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Fourth of July Lake, you could also explore close by Corrie Lochan, and Fourth of July Lake is not the only place close by, Round Top Lake is a close by lake. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Bear Valley; dry warm beds await you at Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley.
