     If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Fourth of July Lake. If you need a location to stay The Meadow is a great choice, and at Fourth of July Lake you can spot Black Butte. Dry warm beds await you at The Mountain Club, and you can go for a hike on the Emigrant Trail. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You're sure to come across some good people from  
   Gardnerville Ranchos here; going for a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail is always a great adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. There are brilliant places to look at along the Charity Valley Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Kirkwood. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bear Valley while you're here, and get soaked paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork. Fourth of July Lake gets a great deal
 
               of water; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that snows the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
Fourth of July Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Fourth of July Lake. Drift down the rapids of American River - South Fork in a kayak, and if you get bored of Fourth of July Lake you could also stop by close by Corrie Lochan.
At Fourth of July Lake through the warm months highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Fourth of July Lake. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Stay the night at Woods Lake Campground; nearby Horse Canyon is a perfect spot to go. A lake close by is Round Top Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Fourth of July Lake has to offer, you can camp at Caples Lake Campground.
