A great place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Fourth Lake is Kings River - Middle Fork; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a pleasant time. Palisade Glacier is an out of the ordinary spot to go to while at Fourth Lake, and a splendid spot to go to close by       is Contact Pass. Around Fourth Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is January, and the driest month is June. Camping is available at First Falls Campground, and Sam Mack Meadow is a great place to check out. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back many times. Camping at Second Falls Campground is always a perfect experience, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the                  John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. Summertime highs at Fourth Lake regularly tend to be in the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Fourth Lake. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Fourth Lake. A nice close by hotel is Super 8 Bishop, and a gorgeous lake like Summit Lake is a pleasant place to check out.
