Foster Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Do set aside some time for Dutch Flat while you're here at Foster Lake, and Bear Trap Canyon is a good spot to spend some time. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Foster Lake get into the 100's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 70's with temperatures at Foster Lake dipping down into the 40's through

| | winter nights. And if that's not enough there's lots more exciting stuff to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains. If you need a place to stay Idyllwild Inn is a brilliant choice; why not take a refreshing hike along the South Fork Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Lilly Creek, and if you came to camp Little Round Valley Campground is a delightful place to do that. Dry warm beds await you at Cedar Street Inn and Spa. There's so much to do | |

At Foster Lake you don’t see much rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
