Going for a hike along the Deacon Lee Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Mount Hilton is clearly visible from Forbidden Lakes. So much entertaining stuff in the Klamath Mountains, just extraordinary. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Forbidden Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Hobo Gulch Campground,  
   and if you get bored of Forbidden Lakes you could also have a look at nearby Papoose Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Klamath Mountains. A quick spree to Boulder Creek in the vicinity of Forbidden Lakes is a pleasant idea, and a tremendous place close by is Stonehouse Gulch.
This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains. During the summer months here at Forbidden Lakes, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and
 
               during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's, and night lows at Forbidden Lakes all through the wintertime usually fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Ripstein Campground, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Canyon Creek.
It's always good to visit Canyon Creek Falls, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Trinity River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant journey to Upper Canyon Creek Meadows is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. The amount of precipitation that falls at Forbidden Lakes is close to the national average; during December this area sees the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
Boulder Creek Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a glorious national park.
