The Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 is a brilliant hiking trail close to Flower Lake, and from Flower Lake you acquire a good panorama of Dragon Peak. Flower Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Flower Lake. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Flower Lake called the Mount Whitney       Trail, and Center Basin Crags is an interesting thing to catch a glimpse of while you're here. So many enjoyable things in the Southern Sierra Nevada, just unbelievable. Near Flower Lake you find Kearsarge Pass which is a magnificent spot to visit, and why not camp at Fort Independence Campground if you're here at Flower Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Heart Lake, and a fine place to camp here at Flower Lake is Symmes Creek Campground.                  During the warm months highs here at Flower Lake get into the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Flower Lake sink into the 20's. It is very waterless here at Flower Lake regularly; January is the month that gets the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest.
