This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and why not head up to Dodge Ridge and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. The high level of precipitation makes Flora Lake a relatively wet spot; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. You could also go to Little Bear Lake since you're here at Flora Lake; it's close by. Trail is always a great adventure; Bartlett Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. Any time is a great time at Flora Lake if you go for the outdoors. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cherry Creek -
West Fork; the Ten Lakes Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is abundant here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Americas Best Value Inn Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a great place to get some rest,
and Hetch Hetchy Backpackers Campground is a great campground nearby. Through the summertime months, highs typically are in the 60's at Flora Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Flora Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
