Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges rocks! A lake nearby is Elk Hole, and you could always discover Elk Valley. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Trace Creek; don't miss out on a trip to Oregon Caves National Monument while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer. Stay the night at Dillion Creek Campground. There's so much to do here at Flatiron

| | Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Flat Campground is a glorious spot for that. On a fine day at Flatiron Lake you can take a hike along the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Hurdygurdy Creek. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. while you're here at Flatiron Lake, checking out Chimney Rock is a must. Flatiron Lake gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls during December, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Sawtooth Mountain
is a peak you can spot from Flatiron Lake, as expected you could also take a look at Solitare Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime at Flatiron Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's, and all through summer
nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's, and overnight lows at Flatiron Lake throughout the winter typically dip into the 30's.

Summer days are HOT, winters cold, lots of bugs in summer. At the present rate of invasive water weeds, this lake will be a marsh bog in a few years.... |
