     At Flat Lake throughout the days of summer highs are in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Flat Lake tend to be in the 20's. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you're here, you might as well pop by Fernandez Pass; camping at Upper Chiquito Campground is always a splendid experience. Just can't get enough of the Central  
   Sierra Nevada. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and do take a hike on the Half Dome Trail.
Flat Lake gets a common amount of rain; January is the month that gets the most rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. Flat Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Gale Peak can be seen from Flat Lake; after a long day outdoors The Ahwahnee is a good place
 
               to spend a night or two.
There are other places here than Flat Lake, for example Monument Lake, and the Clouds Rest Trail offers hiking at its best. Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by Rainbow Lake close to Flat Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area close to Flat Lake has to offer. Merced River - South Fork has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and dry warm beds await you at dnc -- Wawona Hotel.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for a tremendous tour? Yosemite National Park is relatively near Flat Lake, and if you came to camp Bowler Group Campground is a delightful spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at nearby Fernandez Creek while you're here at Flat Lake, and Flat Lake is right by the John Muir Trail - section 1.
