A great nearby hotel is Days Inn Bishop, naturally you could also stop by Bottleneck Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Fishgut Lakes frequently tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight       here at Fishgut Lakes. Fishgut Lakes is pretty dried up frequently; through January this area sees the most rain while June is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section is always a magnificent adventure, and close by you discover the Kings River Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. You definitely must adore the Central Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at North Lake Campground,                  and do stop by Darwin Creek since you're here at Fishgut Lakes.
