Not much rainfall falls here at Finger Lake; January is the month that gets the most snow, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Tuolumne River. Finger Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. The summit of White Mountain can be distinguished from Finger Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Green Treble Lake. So much enjoyable stuff in

| | the Central Sierra Nevada, just amazing. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at June Mountain, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. And that's not everything you can do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If the weather is fine here at Finger Lake, you can go for a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail; if you need a site to stay Heidelberg Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Gateway Motel, and camping is available at Sawmill Campground. If you come at the right time of year, Tenaya Creek offers some fine whitewater; why not camp at Saddlebag Campground since you're here at Finger Lake. All through the
warm days of summer here at Finger Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's with night lows in the 30's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Finger Lake.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Finger Lake. Near Finger Lake you locate the John Muir Trail - section 2 which is a nice hiking trail, and naturally, this is a splendid vicinity for people who like lakes, Big Horn Lake is a lake nearby.
