If you are traveling by, why not stop by Fifth Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. Throughout the summertime months here at Fifth Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 90's with night lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; nighttime lows during the winter for Fifth Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are really bountiful here at Fifth Lake. If you need a place to stay Bishop-Days Inn is a pleasant
choice; hiking is a popular thing to do around Fifth Lake; John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section is a magnificent local trail. Sixth Lake is a splendid lake near Fifth Lake, and if you're into cool geologic traits try Palisade Glacier.
All our national parks are great locations to go to, and Devils Postpile National Monument is no exception.
Fifth Lake is generally a relatively waterless place; during January this area sees the most rain, and June is the month
with the least moisture. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. Everybody loves Sam Mack Meadow, and whitewater paddling is great on Kings River - Middle Fork.
