    Do stop by Fern Lake while you're in this part of California. Fern Lake gets a common amount of rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a spree to Devils Postpile National Monument while you're here at Fern Lake, and Mammoth Mountain is a very popular ski area close by. Don't leave Fern Lake without first going for a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and you have to absolutely dedicate some time to Spooky Meadow since you're
 
               here at Fern Lake. Man, is there loads of exciting things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Camping at Grant Lake Marina-campground is always a tremendous experience, and going for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2 is always a tremendous adventure.
After a long day outdoors 1849 Condos at Canyon Lodge is a good spot to spend a night or two. You'll come across a stunning lake called Agnew Lake near Fern Lake, and Heidelberg Inn is a perfect place to get some rest. June Mountain has splendid slopes and a friendly staff; you can go for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. Camping is available at Reverse Creek Campground, and why not take a little spree to Fern Creek if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - Middle Fork offers some good whitewater; the vista of Carson Peak is stunning.
