This lake is so wonderful. Gaylor Peak is pretty and can be made out from Fantail Lake. Fantail Lake is regularly a rather arid spot; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while October is usually the driest month. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too perfect to be true. A pleasant nearby hotel is Yosemite Gateway Motel, and do visit Mine Creek if you're here at Fantail       Lake. Summertime highs at Fantail Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's while Fantail Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Fantail Lake. Camping is available at Sawmill Campground; after a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a glorious place                  to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. All year is a glorious time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you love the outdoors. Why not camp at Saddlebag Campground while you're here at Fantail Lake; Fantail Lake is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tenaya Creek, and the Gaylor Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best.
