Ewing Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Klamath Mountains. If time allows, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a national park worth a visit. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Soar down the rapids of Hayfork Creek in a kayak. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ewing Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Mesa Pines Mobile Home Park.

| | warmest time of the year at Ewing Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 90's; the night is rather colder of course, generally in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Ewing Reservoir. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ewing Reservoir; Divide Trail is a good local trail. is a perfect spot for that. Having a great time in the Klamath Mountains is simple. Get drenched paddling on Hayfork Creek, and you can catch a sight of Morgan Hill from Ewing Reservoir.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not take
a refreshing hike along the Rough Gulch Trail, and while you're here why not check out Carter Gulch. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Ewing Reservoir. Visit Big Creek while you're here at Ewing Reservoir, and do take a hike on
the Ruth Hayfork Trail. From a rain point of view Ewing Reservoir is a reasonably typical location; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
