High temperatures at Evergreen Lake throughout the days of summer are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Evergreen Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. While you're here at Evergreen Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Gardnerville Ranchos. Now, you may believe that's a lot       but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Granite Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and get soaked paddling on Carson River - East Fork. That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Evergreen Lake has it all. The snow is perfect at Kirkwood, and Snow Canyon is also a great place to discover. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Bear Valley is right next door to Evergreen                  Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Evergreen Lake; Burnside Lake Trail is a magnificent local trail. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you came for an overnight stay Upper Blue Lake Campground is a perfect place to camp; dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a nice site to spend a night or two, and brilliant hiking is available along the Charity Valley Trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Whitewater paddling is nice on Mokelumne River - North Fork, and a quick tour to Middle Creek is absolutely a nice idea. Evergreen Lake gets a great deal of water; January is when you get the most snow here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
