Do stop by Lake Evans while you're in this part of California. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cable Canyon Trail is always a great adventure, and a fine close by hotel is Santa Cruz Inn Riverside. Don't leave Lake Evans without first going for a hike along the East Horsetheif Trail; it's a glorious idea to stop by Spring Brook. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you need a place to stay Marriott Riverside is a great choice, and in close proximity to Lake Evans you locate a golf course called Fairmount Municipal Golf Course. | |

The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mt. Baldy, and camping is available at Pax's Park and Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Lake Evans gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly
January, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is June. Put some time aside to spend at Hot Spring if you're here at Lake Evans, and on a beautiful day you get a nice vista of North Hill from Lake Evans.
