A glorious site for whitewater paddling near Lake Estelle is Truckee River; as expected, this is a splendid region for people who like lakes, Shirley Lake is a lake in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake Estelle you stumble on the Big Spring Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; why not take a little tour to Whisky Creek while you're here. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area close to Lake                  Estelle has to offer. Stay the night at Splitrock Campground. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Go for a hike on the Granite Chief Trail, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Five Lakes is just a very short distance away. Going for a hike on the Five Lakes Creek Trail is always a great adventure, and a short visit to Big Spring is always worthwhile. If the weather is beautiful, you obtain a magnificent panorama of KT-22 from Lake Estelle, and Alpine Meadows is a delightful spot to stretch your legs a bit.
