So much amusing stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too pleasant to be true. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Essex Pond called the Agate Beach Trail; get soaked paddling on Redwood Creek. Looking for something near Essex Pond? City of Eureka Reservoir is in the vicinity, and Essex Gulch is another great spot to stop at close by. This lake is so wonderful. Essex Pond is not far at all from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna, and Beau Pre Golf Club is

| | a golf course nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you want to hit the beach, Clam Beach is in close proximity, and after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Arcata is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Ponds is just a very short distance away. Through the long summer days highs here at Essex Pond get into the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are commonly
in the 50's with temperatures at Essex Pond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. On a delightful day at Essex Pond you can take a hike along the Tsurai Trail; Days Inn Arcata CA is a splendid spot to get some rest. Grassy
Creek flows through this area, and going for a hike on the Rim Trail is always a great adventure. Man, is there a load of fun things to do in the Coast Ranges. If you came for an overnight stay Widow white Creek RV Park is a splendid
location to camp; drift down the rapids of Redwood Creek in a kayak. Essex Pond is a relatively wet place typically with a great deal of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July is the month with the least moisture. Man, is there a lot of entertaining things to do close to Essex Pond.
