Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Redwood Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Days       Inn Arcata CA. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff close to Essex Pond. Do stop by Clam Beach Ponds in close proximity to Essex Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and Essex Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Widow white Creek RV Park is a great local campground. Essex Pond is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. What a place this                  is for outdoors folks. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever want to go back home again. There's whitewater on Redwood Creek for all you adrenaline people; a golf course close by is Beau Pre Golf Club. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Grassy Creek, and Essex Gulch is also a wonderful site to explore. You'll discover a pretty lake called City of Eureka Reservoir near Essex Pond, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Rim Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Essex Pond is not far at all from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna, and if you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Express Inn is a tremendous choice. On a pleasant day at Essex Pond you can take a hike along the Agate Beach Trail; on a good day it's a great idea to spend the day at Clam Beach. If the weather is nice here at Essex Pond, you can go for a hike along the Tsurai Trail.
