Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Carmel River, and while you're here you can take a hike along the San Clemente Trail. The warmest time of the year at Espinosa Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and during       summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 60's while Espinosa Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. Not much rain falls here at Espinosa Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is August.
