But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Mono Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by; a pretty lake like Lost Lake is a tremendous place to stop at. Castle Lake is a brilliant lake close to Emily Lake, and there are splendid sites to explore along the John Muir Trail - section 2. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent nearby hotel is Mammoth Mountain Inn, and you can never get enough of the wonderful skiing

| | at Mammoth Mountain. Shadow Creek is a splendid location to visit, and camping at Reds Meadow Campground is always a magnificent experience. Having a splendid time in the Central Sierra Nevada is simple. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at June Mountain while you're here, and you can go for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail. Heidelberg Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. For the period of the months of summer at Emily Lake temperatures are commonly in the 90's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. High
temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Emily Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Emily Lake. If you don’t have a problem
getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork; don't leave Emily Lake without first going for a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail.
