Around Emerson Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Kings River - Middle Fork is a fine whitewater spot next to Emerson Lake; if you need a site to stay Bishop-Days Inn is a glorious choice. This spot, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Don't leave Emerson Lake without first going for a hike along       the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section, and camping is available at North Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Devils Postpile National Monument is worthwhile; a great close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Bishop. So much cool stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Why not camp at Sabrina Campground since you're here at Emerson Lake; there are good locations to look at along the Kings River Trail. This lake is so wonderful.                  You clearly have to adore Emerson Lake. While you're here at Emerson Lake, you could also stop by gorgeous Cony Lake, and a splendid site to go to is The Keyhole. Emerson Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. At Emerson Lake you can see Mount Emerson, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is San Joaquin River - South Fork. At Emerson Lake during the summer months highs are in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.
