Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Bishop; Emerald Lakes is right by the Kings River Trail. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Bishop-Days Inn is a perfect site to get some rest, and Devils Postpile National Monument is a perfect national park. Emerald Lakes gets very little precipitation; the wettest       month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is June. High temperatures at Emerald Lakes through the summer months are in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Emerald Lakes. If you come at the right time of year, Kings River - Middle Fork offers some great whitewater, and why not camp                  at North Lake Campground while you're here at Emerald Lakes. There are some nice whitewater spots on San Joaquin River - South Fork; if you're here, you could also take a look at charming Lake Sabrina. Having a good time in the Central Sierra Nevada is uncomplicated. Sabrina Campground is a splendid local campground; a quick tour to Darwin Creek is absolutely a magnificent idea. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section is good fun; you'll locate a pretty lake called Donkey Lake.
