Ellis Lake is a nice lake to visit. Some of the water nearby flows, like Middle Fork Blackwood Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Bear Creek Campground is a delightful place to camp. That right there is plenty of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Camping is available at General Creek Campground, and the slopes of Homewood are so inviting noone can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is

| | great on Silver Creek - South Fork, and if you need a place to stay Pepper Tree Inn is a pleasant choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Ellis Peak is pretty and can be seen from Ellis Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn. A typical amount of rain falls here at Ellis Lake; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest month is July.

highs at Ellis Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Ellis Lake. Be careful coming
