In California there are many beautiful lakes, Lake Ellen is one of them. Shady Oaks Country Inn is a nice location to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Ellen has to offer, you can camp at Ritchey Creek Campground. All the outdoors cool stuff close to Lake Ellen will keep you coming back over and over. Lakes are such calm spots, why not pop by Lake Henne close to Lake Ellen. Lake Ellen is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Bothe Napa Valley State Park is a good spot to camp nearby, and a short journey to Linda Falls is always worthwhile. most rain; the driest month is July. Don't forget to take a good little visit to Uncle John Creek, and there are other sites here than Lake Ellen, for example Lake Ellen. During the warm days of summer at Lake Ellen temperatures are
mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 50's; night lows in the 20's for Lake Ellen. Glide down the rapids of Napa River in a kayak;
while you're here why not visit Mill Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Inn at Southbridge, and nearby you hit upon the Bald Mountain Trail which is a good hiking trail.
