So many exciting things to do here at Elk Glen Lake, too splendid to be true. A short tour to Huntington Falls is always worthwhile, and George Washington Bicentennial Grove is a nice local forest. High temperatures at Elk Glen Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the       50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's while Elk Glen Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Presidio Golf Course is nearby; hiking is a popular thing to do around Elk Glen Lake; Temelpa Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lindley Meadow is a great location to check out, and a glorious nearby hotel is Geary Parkway Motel. Go for a hike                  on the Bootjack Trail, and Golden Gate National Recreation Area is a splendid local destination. This lake is so wonderful. Lands End is in the neighborhood of Elk Glen Lake and is a delightful place to pop by, and after a long day outdoors Stanyan Park is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Kirby Cove Campground since you're here at Elk Glen Lake, of course you could also visit Mallard Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Lone Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Elk Glen Lake; during your stay here do take a look at close by Baker Beach. Good hiking is available along the Ben Johnson Trail, and one of the best things about this location is its proximity to China Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Elk Glen Lake is a wet place that gets much precipitation; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is when it's the driest. If you adore the outdoors, you'll love Elk Glen Lake.
