The beauty of Lake Eleanor is reason enough to stop by. That right there is loads of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Klamath Mountains has it all. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a brilliant location in close proximity to Lake Eleanor, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Coffee Creek. Lake Eleanor is located in the Klamath Mountains. Throughout the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Lake Eleanor, and throughout the night

| | it cools down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Lake Eleanor dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Just can't get enough of Lake Eleanor. After a long day outdoors Redding Ca Travelodge is a delightful site to spend a night or two. Stay the night at Preacher Meadow Campground, and a short visit to Big Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here | |

at Lake Eleanor that you need to camp here for a while, Trinity Lake KOA is a pleasant place for that, and not far from Lake Eleanor you'll discover Lilypad Lake which is a pretty lake. A common amount of precipitation falls here
at Lake Eleanor; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. Lakes are good; Shimmy Lake is a lake that's next to Lake Eleanor; there's whitewater on Trinity River for all you adrenaline kick people.
