Do stop by Echo Lake while you're in this part of California. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Klamath River; don't leave Echo Lake without first checking out Butte Fork Slide. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Echo Lake is peerless! Hiking along the Boundary National Recreation Trail is good fun, and everyone loves Elk Meadow. This lake is so wonderful. Cook and Green Butte is clearly visible from Echo Lake, and Echo Lake is right by the Horse Camp

| | Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Echo Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cook and Green Campground. At Echo Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Echo Lake. Western Windsor Inn is a perfect choice. Kangaroo Spring is always fun to check out; there are other places here than Echo Lake, for example Goodbye Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Klamath Mountains for a pleasant time. Going for
a hike along the Low Gap Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Cook and Green Pass is also a pleasant place to look at. Be careful coming to the Klamath Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home
again. If you come at the right time of year, Indian Creek Klamath Tributary offers some fine whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Elk Lake is around here. This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains.
