The beauty of Echo Lake is reason enough to stop by. And that's not all you can do here at Echo Lake. Don't leave Echo Lake without first paying a visit to Damfine Spring, and a splendid site for whitewater paddling is Yuba River - South Fork. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Everybody close by loves skiing at Royal Gorge, and a good spot like English Meadow here at Echo Lake is too splendid

The slopes of Soda Springs are so inviting nobody can resist. There's so much to do here at Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Tip Campground is a fine spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. You
can spot English Mountain from Echo Lake, and there's delightful hiking along the Crooked Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Echo Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Truckee-Grass Valley, and
Echo Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Canyon Creek Campground is a glorious local campground.
That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. You'll hit
upon a lovely lake called Jackson Meadows Reservoir near Echo Lake, and why not take a little trip to French Creek since you're here. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Echo Lake; January is the wettest month with most
rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. During the summer months here at Echo Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are
in the 40's with temperatures at Echo Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Echo Lake has it all. After a long day outdoors Chalet View Lodge is a great spot to spend a night or two, and if you need a place to stay Deer Creek Inn is a great choice.
