Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Royal Gorge is a pleasant local ski area; a lake close by is Weil Lake. This lake is so wonderful. From Echo Lake you get a wonderful panorama of English Mountain, and camping at Canyon Creek Campground is always a great experience. Echo Lake is a good spot of typical rainfall;       January is the month that gets the most rain while July is frequently the driest month. If you're visiting Echo Lake from Truckee-Grass Valley, you won't be the only one, and if you get bored of Echo Lake you could also explore nearby Secret Lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada rules! Yuba River - South Fork has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by, and do check out French Creek if you're here at Echo Lake.                  Throughout the days of summer at Echo Lake temperatures are typically in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Echo Lake sink into the 20's. Echo Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. If you came to camp Silver Tip Campground is a magnificent spot to do that, and the Grouse Ridge Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Everybody close by loves skiing at Soda Springs, and going for a hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Deer Creek Inn is a delightful place to get some rest It's always glorious to explore Damfine Spring. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek, and English Meadow is a pretty place any time of year. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Echo Lake.
