You just should go for the Southern Sierra Nevada. East Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Symmes Creek Campground is a great place to camp nearby. A typical amount of rain falls here at East Lake; through the month of January you get the most rain around here; July meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Moraine Campground, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Mount Whitney Trail. Everybody loves Junction

| | Meadow, and Best Western Frontier Motel is a splendid place to get some rest. All through the summertime months at East Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at East Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 is brilliant fun. East Lake is located in the Southern Sierra Nevada. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining things to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. If you get bored
of East Lake, you could also pop by close by Lake Reflection, and why not take a look at close by East Creek since you're here at East Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do near East Lake. Don't leave East Lake
without first checking out The Minster, and going for a hike along the Sawtooth Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.

 | 15 miles away This is a picture I took of Moose Lake on a lengthy loop hike in the Sequoias taking the Lakes trail past Heather, Astor, Emerald, and Pear Lakes; then cross country over the divide above Moose Lake where I took this photograph looking down on the lake. I then returned to the trailhead by going southwest over the divide down to the Alta Trail through Panther Gap back to the Lakes trailhead. A very long day hike.
