The high level of rainfall makes Eagle Lakes a relatively wet spot; through January this area sees the most rain; July is when it's the driest. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and what would winter be without some skiing at Soda Springs.       Summer at Eagle Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Eagle Lakes temperatures drop to the 20's. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Eagle Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Beyers Lakes is in the neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to discover everything                  Eagle Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Kelly Lake Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You'll meet a lot of people from Truckee-Grass Valley here, and hey, Gotta ski right? Royal Gorge is a delightful place to do that. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Not far from Eagle Lakes, you'll find Crystal Lake which is a beautiful lake; you can stay the night at Indian Springs Campground. Have a great hiking adventure along the Grouse Ridge Trail, and if you need a place to stay Deer Creek Inn is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Places like Pierce Meadow are fine to check out, and soar down the rapids of Fordyce Creek in a kayak. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. While you're here at Eagle Lakes you can take a hike along the Spaulding Lake Trail, and needless to say Granite Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth taking a look at.
