The skiing at Royal Gorge is splendid, and dry warm beds await you at Deer Creek Inn. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is so good! Soda Springs is a glorious local ski area; locations like Pierce Meadow are great to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Yuba River - South Fork, and Brady Mountain is picturesque and can be spotted from here. Just can't get enough of Eagle Lakes.

| | There are other spots here than Eagle Lakes, for example Beyers Lakes, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Granite Creek. This is a popular place for people from Truckee-Grass Valley, and close by you hit upon the Grouse Ridge Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. an overnight stay Indian Springs Campground is a great location to camp. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Glacier Lakes Trail is always
a great adventure, and Kelly Lake Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are great locations to explore along the Spaulding Lake Trail, and not far from Eagle Lakes you'll find Crystal Lake
which is a pretty lake. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Eagle Lakes, so little time. Summer at Eagle Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the
winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Eagle Lakes are in the 20's. Eagle Lakes regularly gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.
