There's so much to do here at Durney Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gumboat Campground is a delightful spot for that; don't leave Durney Lake without first going for a hike along the Echo Lake Trail. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Go for a hike on the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail. | | Lane RV Park is a great local campground. Durney Lake is a location that is relatively dehydrated usually; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. A short spree to The Eddys is always worthwhile, and the gorgeous Trinity Mountains is here. You definitely should love Durney Lake. Inn Central is a perfect choice. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Eddy is a peak you can see from Durney Lake, and don’t forget to check out Dale Meadows if you're here at Durney Lake. High temperatures at Durney Lake through
the warmest time of the year are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows at Durney Lake during the winter regularly dip into the 20's. Whitewater paddling
is wonderful on Sacramento River; a pleasant close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites Weed. Paddling on Sacramento River is so much fun, and Little Crater Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Do explore Dobkins Lake in the vicinity of Durney Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and you can hit the slopes at Mount Shasta nearby.
