La Quinta San Diego Rancho Penasquitos is a great site to get some rest, and Escondido Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. Duck Pond is pretty dried out mostly; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. camp at Cleveland Boulder Oaks Eqst - Cleveland National Forest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Duck Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in
the 60's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Duck Pond temperatures descend to the 40's. This lake is so wonderful.
