It's always fun to stop by Duck Lake. Bear Valley is a very popular ski area close by, and Elephant Rock can be observed from Duck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Duck Lake, for example Elephant Rock Lake; Duck Lake is right by the Emigrant Trail. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do near Duck Lake. | | brilliant site to check out. If you came to camp Silver Valley Campground is a nice spot to do that, and hiking along the Charity Valley Trail is perfect fun. All the water falling down from the sky makes Duck Lake a wet site; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Backpackers Campground is a great local campground; a great place to pop by nearby is Bee Gulch. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Kirkwood, and you can run the rapids of Mokelumne
River - North Fork. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. All through the months of summer at Duck Lake highs are generally in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. Highs through
the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Duck Lake dip into the 10's. All year is a brilliant time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you have a thing about the outdoors.
A magnificent site for whitewater paddling right next door to Duck Lake is Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
