At Duck Hole you don’t see much rainfall; December is when you get the most snow here; the driest month of the year is July. Lava Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Wet Weather Pond is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Lava Beds National       Monument is a splendid local destination here at Duck Hole, and of course, this is a good area for people who like lakes, Lost Reservoir is a lake around here. Having a great time in the Southern Cascade Range is trouble-free. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Southern Cascade Range has to offer. Duck Hole is a wonderful spot to visit for more than one day, Lassen Pines RV Resort is a wonderful spot to camp nearby, and you could always                  discover Service Gulch. A brilliant location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Duck Hole is Pit River, and swamps like Egg Lake near Duck Hole make for great places to pop by. During the months of summer at Duck Hole temperatures are usually in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
