Dry Lake really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Salmon River, and there are great sites to explore along the Deacon Lee Trail. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Salmon River - North Fork, obviously you could also pop by Upper English Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains. This lake is

There is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Dry Lake called the Garden Gulch Trail, and Little North Fork Campground is a good campground nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Dry Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is abundant here in the Klamath Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka, and since you're here, you might as well go to Devils Canyon. Through the long
summer days at Dry Lake temperatures are generally in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Dry
Lake. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Dry Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Red Bank Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Tanners Peak Trail is always a splendid adventure.

Taylor Lake
 | 16 miles away I WALKED FROM MAIN ROAD TO TRAILHEAD ON 4-22-09. HEAVY SNOW DRIFTS, TRAILHEAD IS UNDER ABOUT 48'' OF FROZEN SNOW. NOT RECOMMENDED TO HIKE ALONE, YOU WILL SINK A DOZEN TIMES OR SO UP TO YOUR WAIST! I CHICKENED OT ABOUT 1/2 WAY UP THE TRAIL I COULDN'T SEE UNDERNEATH THE SNOW AND BOULDERS. I BET THE FISHING IS RIGHT ON!... |

 | 19 miles away Looking for a place called Coffee Creek Resort in the mid-70's. Had a lodge and A-frame cabins, you could hike a trail up to Lake Josephine from the lodge. Hoping it is still around now that we are back in California.... |
