On a magnificent day at Dry Lake you can take a hike along the Chaos Crags Trail. Why not camp at Old Cow Creek Campground if you're here at Dry Lake; get dripping wet paddling on Pit River. The high level of rain makes Dry Lake a reasonably wet spot; throughout January this area sees the most snow; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Terry Lake is a nearby lake       that you could stop at, and if you came for an overnight stay Cypress Campground is a brilliant spot to camp. Going for a hike along the Bunchgrass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Lassen Volcanic National Park is a very fine site to stop at. What a site this is for outdoors people. While you're here at Dry Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 17, and since you're here, you could go to Green Burney                  Creek. Summer at Dry Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Dry Lake are in the 10's. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. So many enjoyable things to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not enough time.
