If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Dry Lake. Camping at Bailey Canyon Campground is always a nice experience, and a cool spot to have a look at is Goat Rock. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges rocks! Dry Lake is not the only site nearby, Lost Lake is a nearby lake, and nearby you hit upon the County Line Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. If you came to camp Fir Cove Campground is a tremendous spot
to do that; a tour to Alder Spring will fill your spirit with delightful feelings.
Summertime highs at Dry Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Dry Lake. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. If you're visiting Dry Lake from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna, you won't be

the only one, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Van Duzen River. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Dry Lake. A brilliant site for whitewater paddling close to Dry Lake is Mad River, and going for a hike on the Ben Arthur Trail is always a pleasant adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. From Dry Lake you obtain a tremendous panorama of Goat Hill, and after a long day outdoors Dean Creek Resort is a fine place to spend a night or two. The high level of rain makes Dry Lake a rather wet spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Humboldt House Inn, and you can go for a hike on the Blake Trail.
Dry Lake is located in the Coast Ranges.
