     Dry Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Dry Lake gets a large amount of water; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Dry Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Fir Cove Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and you'll meet a lot of people from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna here.
So much fun stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too tremendous to be true. Have a great hiking adventure
 
   along the Blake Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Van Duzen River. All year is a nice time in the Coast Ranges if you go for the outdoors. There are some great whitewater spots on Mad River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dry Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bailey Canyon Campground. If you need a place to stay Dean Creek Resort is a great choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the County Line Trail, and Alder
 
               Spring is always fun to check out. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Humboldt House Inn, and Dry Lake is not the only spot nearby, Graham Lake is a nearby lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Hiking along the Ben Arthur Trail is great fun, and if you get bored of Dry Lake you could also take a look at close by Lost Lake.
Through the summertime highs here at Dry Lake reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Dry Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. The peak of Goat Hill can be observed from Dry Lake; if you want to explore some interesting stuff, explore Goat Rock.
