If you're popping by Dry Lake from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna, you won't be the only one, and you'll come across a gorgeous lake called Sweasey Lake. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Dry Lake. Camping is available at Blake Spring Campground, and after a long day outdoors Dean Creek Resort is a great place to spend a night or two. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Coast Ranges. Hiking is a popular thing to
do around Dry Lake; Blake Trail is a glorious local trail; why not camp at Hidden Springs Campground while you're here at Dry Lake.
Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Mad River; hey, Hogback Creek is a great local stream. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. At Dry Lake you can spot McClellan Mountain, and a pleasant visit to Alder Flat is a nice way to spend an afternoon.
All through the months of summer

at Dry Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Dry Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Van Duzen River is so much fun; don't leave Dry Lake without first going for a hike along the Pilot Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Turtle Lake close to Dry Lake, and there's brilliant hiking along the County Line Trail.
Dry Lake frequently gets a great deal of rainfall; throughout December this area sees the most rain; the driest month is July. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges.
