If you need a location to stay Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a delightful choice, and hiking along the Windmiller Trail is good fun. From a rain point of view Dry Lake is a quite common place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Dry Lake, you could also explore       nearby Dark Lake; dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A pleasant trip to Chimney Flat is a great way to spend an afternoon, and don't forget to take a glorious little spree to Lyons Creek. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Dry Lake. A great place for whitewater paddling near Dry Lake is Silver Creek - South Fork, and if you came for an overnight                  stay Thirty-nine Mile Campground is a wonderful site to camp. If the weather is great here at Dry Lake, you can go for a hike along the Highland Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. You can run the rapids of American River - South Fork in the neighborhood of Dry Lake, and the slopes of Homewood are so inviting noone can resist. Summer at Dry Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Dry Lake tend to be in the 10's. Everybody close by loves skiing at Sierra at Tahoe, and going for a hike along the Red Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place!
